About the Swedish Tourist Association (STF)

The Swedish Tourist Association (STF) is one of Sweden’s largest non-profit organizations and has been pioneering the discovery of Sweden since its founding in 1885. By guiding and inspiring both small and grand adventures, we aim to give more people the opportunity to share and appreciate our passion for exploration. We are committed to preserving and developing Sweden’s unique environments so we can pass them on to the next generation. The association has approximately 206,000 members and around 250 accommodations across Sweden, from lighthouses and mountain stations to ships and hotels.

Each year, thousands of activities and courses are organized at our facilities and within our roughly 64 local chapters. STF publishes the member magazine Turist. With approximately 250 full-time employees, STF has an annual turnover of around 330 million SEK.
