Abisko National Park has a flora that is among the richest in the Swedish mountains. Take part in a flora finding hike with a knowledgeable guide who can show you rare species and talk about different plants, their uses and history.
The tour begins by chair-lift with mountain scenery as panorama, gliding quietly and slowly slowly up towards the top of Mount Nuolja. We walk slowly down the nature trail with views of mountain tops and Lake Torneträsk. With books on flora and magnifying glasses at hand a whole world of plant life opens up, with species such as orchids, lappland rosebay (rhododendron lapponicum) and rock speedwell (veronica fruticans). Enjoy your packed lunch close to Ridonjira stream which gurgles in the background. After discussing our findings the tour comes to an end as we walk back to STF Abisko Tourist Station.
