Located in the heart of Stockholm’s archipelago, Grinda Wärdshus is a beloved establishment. Built in 1906, the historic house overlooking Saxarfjärden is a landmark for sailors and visitors. 
 
The hotel features 28 modern double rooms and two King Size rooms with tasteful interiors, located in an annex near the Wärdshus. 
 
Grinda Wärdshus offers several verandas, dining rooms, and bars. The Grand Dining Room, with its sea view, has hosted many legendary guests. The wine cellar is extensive, focusing on quality. At the sea front bistro Framfickan, you can enjoy simpler yet equally delicious dishes, live music, and breathtaking sunsets from its large deck by the sea. 
 
The local store and café provide essentials and picnic baskets, while the bakery offers freshly baked bread and pastries from early morning.

    The accommodation is fully accessible according to STF’s requirements. These range from wide doorways, to vibrating fire alarms and high contrast markings. We have chosen to prioritize disabilities based on movement, hearing and vision – including guide dogs and assistance dogs. If you are wondering whether the accommodation meets your needs, we recommend that you contact them before booking to find out more specifically what they can offer.

    Travel options
    The travel to Grinda takes about 1–2 hours by boat. Depart from Strömkajen (Grand Hotel) or Nybroviken (Hotel Diplomat). For quicker access, take a boat from Lillsved or Boda (10 minutes), reachable by bus from Slussen. 
     
    From the docks, a 15–20 minute walk takes you to the Wärdshus. For heavy luggage, transport can be arranged. If arriving by private boat or charter, Grinda’s guest harbor is next to the Wärdshus and hotel.
