Grinda offers activities both on land and water. As a nature reserve, the island allows free exploration of its diverse landscapes, including scenic viewpoints like Clubbudden (38 m above sea level). Known for its excellent swimming spots, the island features shallow beaches, cliffs, and hidden coves.
Rent stand-up paddleboards (SUP) or kayaks at the harbor. Guided tours are available for those who prefer company. Grinda also offers outdoor games like boules, football, and kubb. Upon request, try rock climbing, mountain biking, diving, or boating courses.
Hiking
Grinda has family-friendly trails ranging from short walks to longer routes (2–10 km). Trails vary from gravel paths to forest tracks, meadows, hills, and beaches. The Stockholm Archipelago Trail passes through Grinda, offering a 9.8 km section with incredible viewpoints. Combine it with routes on nearby islands like Svartsö and Finnhamn.
