About the accommodation

Stay in the centre of friendly Gothenburg. Take breakfast in our cosy courtyard and then walk to Järntorget and the charming areas of Haga and Linnéstan with a rich variety of shops, restaurants, cafés and activities. Liseberg, Avenyn and the flat slabs in the archipelago for swimming can be easily reached by tram.

We offer good value comfortable hostel accommodation in a beautiful inspiring environment. Our aim is to be your favourite hostel and we are therefore constantly making efforts to develop and improve the hostel and adapt to new environmental needs.

Here you are close to everything that Gothenburg has to offer. Within walking distance are the restaurant and café districts of Linnéstan and Järntorget, the harbour area with the Denmark and Germany ferry terminals and the Maritime Museum and the Gatenhielmska cultural reserve.

The centre, Brunnsparken and Avenyn are ten minutes by tram 3, 9 or 11. The Gothenburg Opera, Liseberg and the Swedish Exhibition Centre are also close by. Tram 11 takes you out to Saltholmen in 20 minutes, from where you can travel on the same ticket out to bathing cliffs on an island in the southern archipelago.

We serve breakfast every day with fresh-baked bread.

Every floor has self-catering facilities with a dining room and TV corner. The hostel is environmentally aware, allergy-free, non-smoking and has disabled access.

There is a south-facing courtyard for games and relaxation away from the bustle of the city. Our guests with bicycles or motorbikes can park safely in the yard.

The hostel offers washing and drying facilities. Baby crib available for rent. Bedlinen are included in your booking, towels available for rent.

Pets are permitted on one of our two floors. If you are allergic to animals, please let us know when booking so that we can place you on the no pets floor.

STF Stigbergsliden is completely cashfree, better for the environment and the safety of everyone.

Travel information

STF Stigbergsliden Hostel is located in the charming Majorna district, close to central Gothenburg and the city’s attractions.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The easiest way to reach STF Stigbergsliden Hostel is by tram number 3, 9 or 11. The journey takes approximately 12 minutes from Central Station, the city centre and Avenyn. Get off at the Stigbergstorget stop, located about 200 metres from the hostel.

CAR
Drive towards the city centre and follow signs for Fredrikshamn E45. Take the exit at Fiskhamnsmotet towards Stenaterminalen and continue towards Majorna. Turn left at the first traffic light on Djurgårdsgatan onto Karl Johansgatan. Continue uphill until the street changes name to Stigbergsliden.

There are plenty of public parking spaces nearby. The hostel does not have its own parking area.
