STF Hagaby Lantgården Hostel

The hostel is located along the old road in the village of Hagaby at the island Öland, 2.5 km south of Löttorp. It offers a living rural area with farms and grazing animals on meadows down to the sea. The main building has been on the farm since the 1800s, first as a dwelling for the farmer and his family, in the 40’s as a pension, and now as a hostel.
 
Choose between classic hostel rooms, apartments with private shower and toilet or cosy cottages. Large kitchen and dining rooms are available in several of the houses. Want to try to sleep outdoors you should book our Colombian hammocks slowly rocking you to sleep. There are also place for tents without electricity in a beautiful wooded pasture or on a summer meadow. Two electricity points for caravans are also available.
 
Here on the farm is much to do for all ages. Challenge someone to boules or pull together a team to a volleyball match. Work out in the outdoor gym inspired by CrossFit and finish the training session in the sauna. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the barbecue places in the garden, or visit the restaurants in Löttorp, 2,5 km away.
 
The hostel is close to the wonderful child-friendly beaches. A small path runs across the meadows to the sea on the east side. Are you interested in golf, Öland golf course is only a few kilometres away. The surroundings are also perfect for cycling trips through Öland’s unique landscape with a bicycle path next to the hostel.
 
We gladly accept dogs, but not in all houses and rooms. Dog rooms can’t be booked on internet, but you can call us for reservations. Most guests with dogs prefer to stay in a cottage or at the apartment. We have nice walking trails and large lawns that are appreciated by both dogs and dog owners.
 
Book cleaning of your room, if you just want to pack your bags and go. You can also rent sheets and towel if you want to travel light. There is also cot and extra beds for rent. We offer free parking and laundry for a small fee for all our guests.
 
South of the hostel is the village Källa where you will find a grocery, farm shop with locally produced vegetables, Ceramic shop, Ninnis kroppkaksbod (local speciality) and a dairy with goat cheese. 2.5 km north is a bit larger village, Löttorp with several restaurants, bakery, and grocery, Rosa’s trade with its own sausage production, bank, liquor store, library, gym and heated outdoor pool.
 
Meetings, parties and camps
 
Ballroom, camp activities and companies can rent the whole hostel at special prices. Our large dining room can accommodate over 50 dinner guests. We arrange breakfast and catering for groups and we have a good contact with catering for birthday parties, weddings and family reunions. Källa old church is close and is a popular church for weddings. It is possible to organize wedding dinner in the old guesthouse dining room if you pre-book in advance.
 
Reception
Is open daily from 8-11 and 17-19 in season. If there is no one at the reception, we are close by and accessible on the mobile phone 070-156 73 82. Please call in advance if you arrive late, we put out the key to your room. At the reception you can rent linens, bikes, borrow petanque balls / volleyball, rent time to the laundry, get information about sauna, borrow and swap books etc.
