To see and do
Helsingborg offers much to do and great experiences. Visit the charming fishing hamlet of Råå, drink the famous Ramlösa mineral water, take a fishing boat trip across the sound, soak up the sun on Tropical Beach, or what about a thrilling course in kitesurfing? Several tourist attractions to be visited are the Fredriksdal open-air museum, the magnificent Sofiero Castle, and Helsingborg Bird Park and Zoo, while the famous Ven island lies in the centre of the sound, perfect for a bike ride. Or why not take a trip over to Denmark? There are frequent ferries across the sound, and the bridge to take you over to Copenhagen and continental Europe is 40 minutes away. If it’s raining, take the children for a visit to Tropikariet with its vast range of exotic animals such as apes, lizards, snakes, tortoises, crocodiles, spiders and sharks.
