STF Hemavan Mountain station

STF Hemavan Mountain Station enjoys a beautiful location in the heart of Hemavan and offers a welcoming stay for solo travellers, families, and groups. With several comfortable lounges and common areas, it’s easy to relax after a day outdoors. We dare say we have the best location in Hemavan – ski-in/ski-out has never been easier. The Centrumbacken ski slope and the new children’s ski area are right outside the door. You’ll also be within walking distance of Bayhill Shopping Centre, restaurants, cafés, pubs, ski rental, the swimming pool, bus stops, and Hemavan Airport.

Perched on the mountainside, the mountain station offers magnificent views of the surrounding peaks. Enjoy the scenery from the dining room, the cosy lounge with its open fireplace, or one of our other shared spaces. The property also features a beautiful chapel, suitable for quiet reflection, church services, or weddings.

We offer 124 beds, with 52 beds in the main building and 72 beds in our modern annex. Facilities include a sauna with showers and a relaxation area, several spacious lounges, free Wi-Fi, and large drying rooms in addition to the drying cabinets located near the guest rooms.

The main building has 13 spacious and individually decorated family rooms for up to four guests. Each room features a bunk bed where the lower bunk is a sprung double bed. Every two neighbouring rooms share a bathroom with toilet, shower, and drying cabinet.

The annex offers modern, newly built rooms for up to four guests, each with a private bathroom. There are two room layouts: one with two standard bunk beds, and one with two regular hotel beds plus fold-down upper bunks. The annex also has comfortable lounges, a self-catering kitchen, and spacious drying rooms. Photos of the rooms are available in the booking system.

Choose between full board, half board, or accommodation only. Breakfast is available throughout most of the year when booked in advance together with your room. Full board is served during the high season with advance booking. Fresh coffee is always available, and for much of the year guests can also make use of our self-catering facilities.

If you’re travelling with a tent, we offer camping pitches on our lawn. Guests staying in tents have access to showers and the self-catering kitchen. Tent pitches can be booked directly with Hemavan Mountain Station by phone or email.

The ski slopes are literally just a stone’s throw away – only 30 metres from the entrance you’ll find Centrumbacken and the Lilla Lämmeln children’s ski area. Cross-country skiers can enjoy several prepared trails nearby. If you need equipment, we offer a limited selection of telemark skis for rent when you book your accommodation. A larger ski rental shop is located just 200 metres away.

From our snowmobile parking area, you can easily access the snowmobile trails leading towards Kungsleden (the King’s Trail) and Jofjället. We can also help arrange experienced local hunting and fishing guides.

Even when you’re not exploring the mountains, there’s plenty to do. Climbing enthusiasts can try our impressive 6-metre-high, 40 m² outdoor climbing wall, and the property also includes an indoor sports hall for table tennis and floorball.

The mountain station is well adapted for guests with reduced mobility. All three floors of the main building are accessible by lift, and wheelchair users can enter directly from the parking area. We also offer sit-skis and ski carts for hire.
