About the accommodation

Accommodation is in modern apartments or cottages on the mountainside next to the Drom slope, with the best ski-in/ski-out location and a fantastic view towards Hovdeshögen and Västfjället. The apartments are located at the top of the holiday village right next to the childrens’ exit from the Drom lift. Choose between 6–11 beds. They are all equipped with sauna, dishwasher, drying cupboard, cable TV and outdoor area. The cottages are a bit further downhill in the lower part of the holiday village. They are semi-detached cottages with 6–8 beds, two bedrooms with bunk beds. Self-catering kitchen with combined kitchen/living room. All cottages have a wood-burning stove. Pets are not permitted in the apartments but are welcome in our cottages for an additional charge. Please always inform us when making your reservation.

It is easy to be our guest – the main building which is right next to the Drom slope has all the services you might need. Reception, restaurant, ski rental, ski school, mountain shop with groceries, conference room, sauna and gym – all within walking distance of the slopes and the accommodation.

The reception is staffed daily between 10:00 and 17:00 from the last week of the year to the end of April, and during the summer from mid July to the end of August. During the other months it can be open as per agreement with our guests. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out no later than 11:00. If you want to book cleaning, please order this when making a reservation or contact reception and we will be happy to help you.
The main building has free WiFi.

Restaurant Drommen is the natural meeting place in the valley. After a day on the slopes or a day of hiking, cycling or other activities, you can wind down here in an intimate and relaxing environment. Eat tasty food, have a cup of coffee or drink a refreshing Drommen Lager, our own beer from Jämtlands Bryggerier. During peak season in winter, there are several events such as apres ski, a music quiz, pizza buffet, fondue evenings and wine tastings etc.

    Travel options
    By foot, bike or car:

    From Östersund:
    Two different options, drive over the bridge Vallsundsbron and turn right. Then take two ferries towards Hallen. In Hallen, follow signs for Höglekardalen. Distance 50 km. The other option is the E 14 north towards Åre, before reaching Mattmar you turn left on road 321. In Hallen, follow signs for Höglekardalen. Distance 90 km

    From Trondheim:
    Go via Åre towards Östersund. After Mattmar, turn right and take road 321 to Hallen. When you reach Hallen, follow signs for Höglekardalen. Distance 250 km

    From Sundsvall:
    Take the E14 towards Östersund. In Brunflo, turn left on the E45, go across the bridge Sannsundsbron towards Myrviken until you get to road 321. In Myrviken, turn right. Take road 321. In Hallen, follow signs for Höglekardalen. Distance 250 km.

    From Stockholm:
    Go via Ljusdal until you get to the E45 and take the E45 north. In Svenstavik, take road 321 towards Mattmar/Åre, in Hallen follow signs for Höglekardalen. Distance 550 km

    If you come on Inlandsvägen via Sveg, continue north on the E45. Then follow the above.

    By train or plane:
    From the central station in Östersund, or the Åre-Östersund airport on Frösön, there are travel options such as bus, rental car or taxi. Länstrafiken bus number 162.
