STF Ivögården Mat & Vingård

Ivögården Mat & Vingård is located on the small island of Ivö in Lake Ivösjön in northeastern Scania. After a short ferry ride you reach the idyllic little island with its beautiful nature. In the middle of the island you will find one of Skåne’s exciting small-scale vineyards and a family-run restaurant.

Ivö is the stuff of myth and is often called the fairytale island. Perhaps it is because the island has been inhabited for over three thousand years. You can easily reach this historic island with exciting culture and beautiful nature with a free car ferry. Stepping off the island gives an immediate feeling of peaceful silence. In the middle of the island, right next to the beautiful little church and a stone’s throw from Kyrkviken and Ursula’s spring is Ivögården Mat & Vingård. A place with roots that today is developed and managed by a family with a passion for good food and good wine.

It started with a dream of owning a vineyard, and became a reality here in Skåne. Today, the rows of vines stand at the far end of the field down towards the church and here a small-scale production of both red, white, rosé and sparkling wine takes place. Wines that you as a guest can enjoy in the farm’s dining room. The food that is prepared is also a tribute to the good things in life and at Ivögården you always stay comfortably with half board, where the Chef’s 3-course menu is included in the accommodation price. All food is prepared from scratch with love and organic ingredients from local producers.

The island itself offers a fairytale nature and opportunities for nice swimming, fishing, cycling excursions and hiking. Follow the hiking trails through the forests and visit mythical historical sights. Or rent a canoe or boat and slide out onto the lake’s shiny waters. During the winter months, you can combine hiking with a magnificent view, skiing only 12 km from Ivögården, pimp fishing or a trip on cross-country skates when the cold has hit.

Indoors, comfortable rooms, a cozy dining room, an exciting wine cellar and cozy lounges await you for a pleasant get-together. Before dinner, you can challenge the traveling party to a game of billiards or relax in the wood-burning hot tub. There are also perfect premises for conferences, parties and weddings.
