About the accommodation

Kittelfjäll is an legendary and genuine mountain village. The ski area offers fantastic skiing. In summer, crystal clear lakes await for fly fishing, adventurous trails for mountain biking or breathtaking hikes.

The small and genuine mountain village Kittelfjäll / Tjiehtele is beautifully situated between the mountain Stuore Giebnie / Kittelfjället and Vajmuojeanoe (heart river) / VojmånKittelfjäll.
 
The buildig housing Kittelfjäll värdshus was designed by the renowned architect Josefina Nordmark and connects to Kittelfjäll’s small farm culture with its barn buildings for tools, animals and hay. The decor and color scheme of the restaurant and bar is created by ourselves with inspiration from the mountains, the village and the warm colors of nature.
 
There is no place in Sweden where you can reach such an extensive off-piste skiing. You will find natural ravines, sparse birch forests and rolling hills. The ski system also has piste slopes of varying difficulty. A mountain that takes care of you no matter how you want to experience your winter adventure.
 
And Kittelfjäll is about much more than winter. The summer is fantastic. Here you can easily go fishing in crystal clear lakes or mushrooms and berry picking. Adventurous trails for mountain biking and wonderful day and multi-day hikes also await here.
 
We are passionate about food and drink and in our popular restaurant you eat and drink well both for lunch and dinner. We work mainly with the area’s local ingredients and an organic range of beverages. During the winter season, we have our bar open, which from time to time offers top-class musical entertainment. Breakfast is available for those who want. The opening hours of our restaurant vary throughout the year, so agree with us before your stay.

    Travel options
    Our facility is located in Kittelfjäll, in the north-western part of Vilhelmina Municipality. The easiest way to get here is by car. Drive west out of Vilhelmina along Vildmarksvägen towards Stalon, where you turn right and head up towards Dikanäs and then on to Kittelfjäll.
     
    It is possible to fly to Vilhelmina and then rent a car or take a Transfer buses are available during the winter season.
     
    It is also possible to buy a ticket from SJ that combines a train journey to Lycksele or Östersund with a bus that takes you onward all the way to Kittelfjäll.
