The area is especially good for winter fishing. Mostly char and salmon trout are caught here. You can do day tours from Kutjaure to Stipok, which has a peculiar flora up on the bare mountain region. There are several impressive waterfalls upstream if you follow the rapids. Also, visit the Sallohaure Sámi camp, as well as the three long suspension bridges at the outflow from Sallohaure and Lake Vastenjaure.

If you yearn for a cleansing sauna bath, a boat tour over to the Utsi family on the other side of the lake is recommended. You can also purchase fish and bread there.

No mobile coverage in the area.

This is how it works in a mountain cabin
Our mountain cabins offer a simple and authentic stay in multi-bedded rooms with self catering. The rooms are different sizes with bunk beds and usually heated by gas stoves. On site you will be greeted by a cabin manager. As a guest you chop wood, fetch water from the stream or lake, wash up and clean up after youself.
