STF Lärbro/Grannen Hostel

The hostel is located in a peaceful woodland setting just north of Lärbro in northern Gotland. Stay in newly renovated double and family rooms spread across three buildings. All buildings offer access to a shared guest kitchen, showers, toilets, and TV facilities. Choose whether to bring your own bed linen, clean your room, and prepare your own meals – or treat yourself to full service. With our full-service option, you’ll arrive to a freshly made bed while we take care of the cooking and cleaning. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Our restaurant, Astuen, is open daily during the high season and on weekends during the low season. Enjoy our popular pizzas or a delicious dinner from our à la carte menu in a welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is also served during the summer season. Full bar service is available.

One of Gotland’s largest gyms, Helheten, is located on site. Work out on your own or with the support of our professional instructors. The gym covers approximately 1,300 square metres and features around 50 training stations as well as a large outdoor gym. Hostel guests enjoy complimentary access. You’ll also find a sauna, massage services, boxing facilities, a naprapath, a hairdresser, and a fishing tackle shop.

The hostel is surrounded by spacious green areas with a volleyball court, football pitch, hammocks, children’s toys, and barbecue areas. We also rent out bicycles, longboards, and kayaks. While you’re here, don’t miss the museum located on the property. Lärbro Military Hospital Museum is one of Gotland’s five military history museums and is well worth a visit, showcasing the site’s fascinating history from the Second World War.

Large parts of the hostel were renovated between 2012 and 2015, and all furniture was replaced during this period. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted.

Late-night arrivals are no problem – simply contact us by email or phone in advance. The reception is located next to the gym.

In the village of Lärbro you’ll find two restaurants, a grocery store, a petrol station, and the charming Röcklinger Garden Centre, which is well worth a visit.

See and do

Visit Fårö (15 km), Slite (8 km), Lummelunda Cave (30 km), and Visby (35 km). Take a swim in the popular limestone quarry Blue Lagoon in Ar (23 km). By car, you can reach at least three beautiful beaches within 12 minutes.

The Gotland Ring race circuit is just around the corner. Explore the Slite archipelago by kayak (4 km), or visit Pavalds Farm in Lärbro, where you can buy sheepskins and leather products made from organically raised lambs.
