STF Mem/Kanalmagasinet Hostel

Directions to STF Mem/Kanalmagasinet Hostel

Kanalmagasinet is in Mem, approximately 20 km outside Norrköping and 6 km from Söderköping. Mem is most famous for its location, being the first lock along the Göta canal and lying at the portal of the St. Anna archipelago. Kanalmagasinet has a beautiful and picturesque location right on the banks of the canal.

From the south along the E22:
when you pass Söderköping, and after passing the Göta Canal, turn right towards Östra Husby. Continue to Tåby, where you see a sign pointing right for Mem, 7 km. Pass Mems Slott, and continue to the Göta Canal. Kanalmagasinet is on the right side, just on the canal bank.

From the north along the E22:
take the E22 from Norrköping, southwards towards Kalmar. At Tingstad, approximately 5 km outside Norrköping, follow the sign for Mem. Drive straight on at the T-junction (with obligatory stop) in Tåby and follow the signposts for Mem. Pass Mems Slott, and continue to the Göta Canal. Kanalmagasinet is on the right side, just on the canal bank.

NB! If coming from Stockholm along the E4:
a slightly less direct route, but a really beautiful one, is to take the ferry from Jönåker/Kvarsebo across to Vikbolandet. Follow the map, or ring us for detailed directions.
