Travel information

About the accommodation

Experience an old-fashioned mountain grazing hut. Accommodation here is in timber cabins with open fires and bottled gas for cooking, surrounded by forests and grazing. Chop your own firewood, fetch water from the well, and enjoy the peace of the natural world.

View details

Today’s tourists make the same journey for the same reason, but also come here to go bike riding, horse riding and fishing.

The hostel is set in fields that have been farmed for over a thousand years. Today mountain cows, goats and horses still graze in the untouched meadows. The hostel consists of rustic timbered cabins without electricity, and food is cooked over an open fire. Every cabin has three to six beds and a fireplace for heating, and guests have to chop their own wood and bring water from the well… just like the good old days!
