STF Regna Hostel

The northernmost section of the Östgötaleden passes, in an east-west direction, Rejmyre-Älgsjön and here is also the scenic Regnamile hiking trail. The rain mile runs through the nature reserve Regnaholm’s leafy forests and past Regnaholm’s castle. The wildlife in the area is rich, and you might see cranes, fallow deer, moose or foxes. In the church village are several well-preserved buildings from the middle of the 19th century and an active local association that organizes concerts, croft walks and an annual market in the summer. Popular excursion destinations in our vicinity are the well-preserved mill site Brevens bruk, the mill environment in Hävla and Rejmyre glassworks, Sweden’s only glassworks in operation.

Regnagården is located opposite the beautiful church and is a large, red wooden house surrounded by a lush garden. The building was built as a poor house in the middle of the 19th century and got its current appearance around 1930. We are renovating the house at a slow pace and using traditional materials to preserve as much as possible. Our hostel has ten cozy rooms with a simple standard, all different in size and decor. Most of the rooms are double or twin rooms, but we also have a triple room, a quadruple room and a room with six beds. Showers and toilets are in the corridor and are shared with other guests. In one of our rooms it is possible to bring your dog or cat for an extra fee. Please note that you must contact us directly if you would like to book this in particular.

As a guest, you have access to a kitchen for self-catering and two pleasant dining rooms. On nice days, you set up in the garden, where barbecues and garden furniture await. Here you can relax, socialize and have a good time with family and friends. During certain parts of the summer, we also offer the option to buy for breakfast. It is good to know that the nearest grocery store is in Igelfors a few kilometers away and has limited opening hours. More shops are in Högsjö, Vingåker and Finspång.

The rain garden is also perfect for family reunions, birthday celebrations and the like. With us you can rent the whole house, a nice way to get together. As a complement, Bygdegården in Regna is also available for rent as a separate party venue. Contact us and we will tell you more.
