The best way to get to Saltoluokta from the south of Sweden is to take the train to Gällivare with a change to bus to Saltoluokta/Kebnats. It is recommended to book the ticket all the way to Saltoluokta/Kebnats on the train operator's website. You will then receive a ticket for both the train and the bus, and will be covered by the travel guarantee if the train is delayed. If Saltoluokta is not included as a bus stop, this means that the bus timetable is not yet available.
During the summer season, it is also possible to travel by the inland railway to Gällivare.

Follow the road for 78 kilometers to Kebnats, from where you can get further transport by boat or snowmobile to Saltoluokta mountain station on the other side of Lake Langas. Flixbus run the Gällivare-Kebnats/Saltoluokta route. Timetable is available at www.flixbus.se with departures that are adapted to some of the night train's arrivals/departures to/from Gällivare. Summer – M/S Langas
From Kebnats to STF Saltoluokta Fjällstation there are daily boat trips with M/S Langas in connection with the arrival of the night train-connected buses to/from Kebnats. The boat ride takes about 15 minutes. From the bridge it is 200 meters to the mountain station. You will find more information under Boat times on our website. Please pre-book your ticket here, but it is also possible to pay with a card on board.
In case of a delayed bus, we’ll wait 15-30 minutes depending on departure. Our neighbors in Björkudden can, if time permits, help with extra boat transfers in case of late bus arrivals.
The ticket is valid the whole day and there’s no need to reserve a certain departure.
