In order to travel to and from Saltoluokta, you must go across lake Langas along the marked ice trail, which is about 3.5 km long. STF Saltoluokta Mountain Station offers snowmobile transport in conjunction with the arrival and departure of regional bus no. 93. You must book snowmobile transport in advance by telephone, e-mail or at reception no less than an hour prior to departure. Would you prefer to ski across without your luggage? The snowmobile transfer is run by STF Saltoluokta and the timetable is set to match bus 93 from Gällivare/Ritsem.
When travelling on a snowmobile, you should wear warm clothes and preferably use a scarf or ski goggles to protect your face. You may also ski or walk along the ice trail, but remember that you must never deviate from the marked trail.
Regular price list (one way):
Adult (16 and older): SEK 120/member, SEK 180/non-member
Child (6-15 years old): 60/member, SEK 90/non-member
Child (0-5 years old): free
Bag: SEK 50/each way. Free for guests at the mountain station.
Sledge: SEK 120/each way. Free for guests at the mountain station.
For pick-ups outside of the regular timetable:
Basis rate SEK 850 for 1–4 people.
