The daughter to Konsul Persson, who was rather bored during her father’s stationing in Sulitelma, fell in love with this place and her father built her a cabin here. The cabin is therefore often called ‘Konsul Persson’s cabin’. The cabin was donated later on to STF by descendants of the daughter. Now under STF management, the cabin receives hikers along the Nordkalott Trail.

Please note that you can only pay with cash at this mountain cabin. Paying with Swish or debit card will not be possible.

The Nordkalott Trail goes along the beach of Lake Sårjusjaures, with a Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT) cabin at the other end of the lake.

Fishing, easier alpine tours and total relaxation of the most meditative kind are words that fit well to describe a stay here.
