About the accommodation

Nobel Prize-winning author Selma Lagerlöf put Sunne on the world map. Today many locations that feature in her novels and her home Mårbacka are popular tourist attractions.

The area also offers a diverse landscape full of interesting destinations and experiences.
 
The hostel in Sunne is situated close to the great outdoors, at the Sunne village centre, high up and overlooking Sunne and lake Fryken. The village centre dates back to the 18th century, and the area also has other historic buildings including a school museum and one of Sweden’s oldest courthouses.
 
The beautiful landscape in Fryksdalen is perfect for renting a canoe, hiking in the nature reserve or cycling around the many lakes. There’s a great cross-country and downhill skiing facility in Sunne, while in summer the golf courses and Sunne Vattenpark (water park) is very popular.

By car
Road 45 From Karlstad or Torsby, at Helmia Bil/OKQ8, turn towards Munkfors. After about 300 metres, turn left onto Repslagaregatan, follow the signs for Hembygdsgården B&B.
 
Road 241 From Munkfors, drive along Storgatan through the center of Sunne. After the fire station, turn right onto Repslagaregatan, follow the signs for Hembygdsgården B&B. The accommodation is located at Sunne Hembygdsgård.
 
By bus
Värmlandstrafik, www.varmlandstrafik.se/ operates by bus from Karlstad - Sunne.
