About the accommodation

Tivedstorp is a village in the centre of Tiveden, a forest full of myths on the border between Västergötland and Närke. The cultural heritage from the 17th century has been well-preserved, with hay meadows and turf roofs. Accommodation is in pleasant rooms and cabins in tradition-rich surroundings, and the natural world feels very close here.

Welcome to Tivedstorp – close to both quiet and adventure!
Tivedstorp is developed as a tourist attraction in Tiveden with a café, shop and hostel. Since spring 2007 Tivedstrop has been owned and run by a local community company Tiveds Utvecklings AB (TUVA), which was put together to preserve the unique environment of Tivedstorp.
 
Accommodation
Guests stay in pleasant apartments on ground floor, rooms in the Bageriet or cabins in a traditional environment. Regardless of whether you stay overnight or for a longer time, Tivedstorp is a perfect choice. The apartments are in a red barn building and all have their own entrance. Dogs are allowed in all accommodation facilities. We have a limited number of baby cots and child seats for hire. Please let the reception know if you wish to hire these.
 
There is self catering possibilities and access to showers and toilets. There is also a sauna for rent.
 
We can also supply lunch, dinner and festive occasions for parties and groups. Call us at +46 584 472090, or by e-mail: boka@tivedstorp.se and we will be happy to present a suggestion.
 
To see and do
Here you can hike in the beautiful Tiveden National Park, paddle a canoe, cycle in the beautiful countryside on a simple trail or on hilly terrain. We can organize riding on an Iceland pony or an adventure with horse and cart. We have a lot on offer for the adventurer and also if you just want to enjoy the forest and the countryside.

    Food and equipment for outdoor activities are sold in the shop. The range of goods differs from facility to facility.

    Some rooms are available in which pets may accompany guests.

    WiFi is available in common areas and/or in bedrooms.

    Room with at least 4 beds within the same room.

    Bike storage available.

    Car parking is available next to the property, a fee may apply.

    Breakfast is included in the room price/rate or can be purchased for an additional fee. Opening hours/selection may vary depending on season.

  • <1 km to marked trails

    Less than 1 kilometer to marked hiking trail.

  • Book your own house

    It is possible to book the entire accommodation.

  • Groups

    Group booking is available for a minimum of 10 people.

  • Conference

    Meeting-/conference rooms are available upon request.

    Travel options
    The nearest train station is Laxå station. From there you can take the nearest bus to Tived's church, which is about 6 km forest walk from Tivedstorp.
    For current bus times go in and search Länstrafiken in Örebro.

    As an alternative ypu may hike, go by bike or horesbackriding. Hike along the Bergslagsleden from Granvik in the south or from Ramundeboda in the north to Tivedstorp och cycle along the green-marked Sverigeleden and make a detour to Tivedstorp on the Tivedsrundan. Or take the riding trails in Tiveden to Tivedstorp - here both rider and horse can rest and rest.

    For those of you who come with an electric car, it may be good to know that the nearest charging stations in Laxå, Karlsborg or Askersund, which are all located approx. 30 km from us.
