Corona measures in our accommodations
To offer you, our guest, a safe stay during the pandemic, we have adapted the activities at our accommodation in a number of different ways, in accordance with the Swedish Public Health Agency regulations. As our guest it’s important that you are aware of the conditions that apply before your stay. Would you like to find out what measures a specific accommodation has taken to ensure the safety of yourself and other guests? Search for the accommodation here on our website and read under the “About us” tab. We update the information continuously. If you don’t find the information you’re looking for, you are very welcome to contact the property directly. The link below provides further information about STF’s general corona measures.
DETAILED FLEXIBLE BOOKING TERMS
Reservations for accommodation only can always be canceled without cost up to 7 days before arrival. Some of our accommodations even allow cancellation as late as up to 6pm on the day before arrival.
Until further notice overnight stays in our mountain cabins must be booked and paid in advance, to ensure that we don’t accept more guests than the number of available beds. Booking and prepayment must be made for the specific date and cabin, and is done online here on the website. Free cancellation also applies for mountain cabins up to 7 days before arrival. The winter weather in the mountains can be severe and your plans may need to change during a trip.
Package experience bookings, which often include guides or instructors, have slightly different cancellation conditions. Most package experiences offer free cancellation up to and including 30 days before arrival.
The specific conditions for the specific accommodation or package experience you are interested in can be found under the heading “Pricing conditions” when you proceed to booking. For bookings that are already completed, you can find the cancellation policy in your e-mail confirmation.
Changes to booking due to bad weather in roadless areas
Mountain weather can be rough and plans may need to change due to mountain safety concerns, during or just before your hike.
If you are in a roadless area and hampered by the weather during a hike you can, in an emergency, ask our personnel on site to change your booking to another mountain cabin or mountain station, provided the dates of your hike correspond to your booking.
If dangerous weather prevents you from starting the hike as planned, you can ask to change your booking by calling 010-190 23 60 or contacting firstname.lastname@example.org until 18.00 on the day before arrival or later by agreement with the mountain station.
The possibility of changing a booking that involves mountain safety risks covers our 44 mountain cabins during the winter and summer season. During the winter season, accommodation bookings are also covered, including our mountain stations in roadless areas; Sylarna, Blåhammaren, Helags and Kebnekaise.
Guided tours / group events can not be changed due to weather, instead we will adapt the hike to make it safe.
You can log in to ”My booking” using the login information provided in the e-mail to cancel the booking.
Please note that the above conditions apply to individual bookings (not group bookings) made through swedishtouristassociation.com or by e-mail or phone through STFs Mountain booking office.
