Lunndörren - Vålåstugan

The trail between the Lunndörrstugorna and STF’s Vålåstugorna mountain cabins is over easy terrain near the treeline. As you walk, you’ll have virgin forest on the northern side of the trail, and the magnificent valley of the Gråsjöfjället on your southern side.

Your walk starts in Lunndörren with a stretch over marshland on the way to Finnångeltjärnarna and Lunndörrsån. A steep ascent takes you up on to the slopes of the Trondfjället, passing by the Tronnan stream that later flows into the Vålån river.

The trail continues into the Vålån valley and goes uphill for the last section before you arrive at your destination. The path becomes more boulder-strewn as you get to the last two kilometres before STF Vålåstugan. There are bridges over all the larger streams on the walk, and there are usually wooden walkways over marshland areas.
