What is personal information?
Every kind of information that directly or indirectly can be connected to you is considered personal information. Even images (photographs) and sound recordings of individuals can be considered personal information, even if no names are mentioned. Encrypted information and various types of electronic identities, e.g., IP numbers, are considered to be personal information if they can be connected to physical persons.
How does STF handle personal information?
We only handle your personal information when we have legal grounds to do so. You can read more about our assessment of legal grounds in STF’s overall policy for the handling of personal information. Primarily, we handle personal information in order to fulfil our obligations toward you as a member, guest, franchisee and/or in order to carry out other commitments toward you. Our foundation is that we do not handle more personal information than is necessary for the purpose at hand, and we always strive to use the information that is least sensitive in terms of personal privacy.
If you add personal information about other people, you are responsible for allowing STF to handle such personal information in accordance with this privacy policy. This may be a matter, for example, of submitting information about yourself and your family members when applying for membership, or when you book accommodation and submit information about other guests.
Your personal information is processed using modern information technology, and we use such information at times for e.g., analysis, segmentation, profiling, marketing and direct marketing both digitally and by mail. Some personal information may be stored beyond the boundaries of the EU.
How long does STF save my personal information?
We only save your personal information as long as we deem that it is necessary in order to fulfil the purpose it served when we gathered it, or as long as we must save them according to law. After that your information is erased, or alternatively the identifying features are removed from your personal information so that it can no longer be connected to you. We have internal routines to ensure this.
Does STF divulge my personal information to anyone else?
Our point of departure is not to divulge your personal information to third parties unless it is necessary to do so in order to fulfil our contractual or legal obligations. In those cases, in which we divulge personal information to third parties, we prepare a confidentiality agreement/representation contract, as well as ensure that personal information is handled in a secure manner.
How does STF protect my personal information?
Your privacy is important to us here at STF and that is why we focus on security. We take measures to protect your personal information and we work continually with information security. Here at STF, we have guidelines on how we send your information in a secure manner, and we have routines to ensure that those working within STF only have access to the information they need in order to do their jobs.
