About the Swedish Tourist Association (STF)
The Swedish Tourist Association (STF) is one of Sweden’s largest non-profit organizations and has been a pioneer in exploring Sweden since its founding in 1885. By guiding and inspiring people to embark on both small and grand adventures, we want more people to experience and share our passion for discovery. We are committed to protecting and developing Sweden’s unique environments so they can be passed on to future generations.
STF has around 195,000 members and approximately 250 accommodations across the country – ranging from lighthouses and mountain stations to ships and hotels.
Each year, thousands of activities and courses are organized at our accommodations and through the association’s 62 local chapters. STF also publishes the member magazine Turist. We have around 250 year-round employees, and our annual turnover is approximately SEK 330 million.
