Characteristics of a signature trail

  1. Beautiful nature experiences characteristic of their region.
  2. Clear markings and signage.
  3. Three to seven daily stages.
  4. Indoor accommodation or designated camping sites at the end of each stage.
  5. The trail has a long-term and sustainable maintenance plan that ensures high quality.
  6. Access to public transportation to the starting point and from the finish back to the start. Alternatively, the hike is a circular route.
