Klacksörarna is a scenic area, beautifully secluded from other settlements. The islands are a popular destination for boaters, offering excellent swimming spots and plenty of picturesque picnic areas.

Klacksörarna is its own small archipelago, consisting of six islands and several skerries. Land uplift has connected Tallskär with Storskäret, as well as Klubben and Gåsharen. Nordvästen and Oren are also slowly merging with Storskäret. The islands are low-lying, with ancient beach ridges visible even inland. The beaches are dominated by gravel and shingle areas.

The islands are covered in coniferous forest, and some feature old, coastal pines with characteristic crowns that rise above the surrounding trees. The ancient beach ridges are home to vegetation typical of young coastal landscapes formed by land uplift, while overgrown bays feature lush, species-rich coastal meadows fertilized by washed-up seaweed.

The northernmost islands’ old beach ridges are covered with bearberry, wavy hair-grass, and forest mosses. They also have plants typical of young, treeless islets, such as rowan, creeping bird cherry, juniper, wild roses, fireweed, and orpine. Birdlife is rich, particularly on the smaller skerries in the northeast, while woodland birds can be found on the larger islands.

Klacksörarna also holds traces of old fishing settlements at three locations. One holiday cottage is located on Storskäret, with a few others on Oren and Nordosten. A small fishing village can be found on Sydosten.
