Information about a security incident at our booking provider

We have become aware of a security incident at an external provider of the booking system used for booking accommodation and activities on our website.

We have become aware of a security incident at an external provider of the booking system used for booking accommodation and activities on our website.

It has not yet been established whether STF guests or their booking details are affected by the breach. Card payments are handled by a separate payment provider, and card details are not stored in the booking system.

We take this incident very seriously and are in close dialogue with our provider to establish what has happened and whether any of our guests may be affected.

Watch out for suspicious messages
As a precaution, we urge anyone who has booked accommodation through STF to be extra vigilant about unexpected messages, for example by email, text message or WhatsApp. A message that contains correct details about your booking, such as your name, dates or accommodation, is no guarantee that it comes from STF.

Be particularly careful if you receive messages that:

STF will never ask you to provide payment details by text message, WhatsApp or any other messaging service. If you receive an unexpected payment request that appears to come from STF or one of our accommodations, do not click on any links or share any information.

What is STF doing?
We are in ongoing contact with our provider to establish what has happened, whether STF guests are affected and what measures need to be taken. We are also carrying out additional security checks and working to prevent any attempted fraud.

We are investigating whether personal data may have been affected. If it turns out that our guests are affected, we will inform them directly.

We will update the information on our website as soon as we know more.

If you feel unsure
Have you received a suspicious message about your booking? Contact us or your accommodation through our official channels before making any payment. Do not use phone numbers or links from the message. If you have already clicked on a link and provided your card details, contact your bank immediately and report it to the police.
