STF Allsta Gård
Sustainability is at the core of Allsta Gård. The goal is not only to maintain a healthy ecosystem, but also to improve the soil and biodiversity.
Here are some examples of our sustainability initiatives:
- Kretsloppshuset is built with sustainable materials, and solar panels supply electricity during the summer.
- Urine-separating toilets make it possible to return nutrients to fields and crops. Food scraps are either composted or fed to the chickens and later used as fertiliser.
- During summer, the chickens are moved around the fields in mobile coops – giving them fresh food and naturally fertilising the land.
- Guests are encouraged to sort their waste and, if they like, help out around the farm.
- Personal sustainability is also important here – offered through yoga massage, meditation, and yoga upon request.
