Sustainability

At Dahlbogården, contributing to a more sustainable future is a natural part of everyday life. In addition to recycling waste, the farm prioritises environmentally friendly and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible.

Dahlbogården has also invested in solar panels, which currently provide around half of the farm’s electricity, and has been run as an organic farm since 1997. The owners actively support sustainability initiatives and frequently collaborate with local businesses and artists.

To benefit both nature and future generations, a lake has been created on the property to help replenish local groundwater levels. It is a place designed to be enjoyed for years to come – for the good of nature and everyone who visits.

• Be a sustainable destination and meeting place by offering our services in collaboration with locally rooted businesses, in a nature-rich setting within a vibrant rural landscape. 
• Operate as an environmentally friendly business with a positive climate impact by investing in sustainability initiatives and considering our environmental footprint to prevent greenhouse gas emissions and pollution. 
• Increase awareness of environmental issues within our company and require environmental commitments from the businesses and organizations we collaborate with. 
• Communicate our sustainability efforts to inspire guests and the tourism industry to adopt more eco-friendly practices. 
• Comply with current environmental legislation and other commitments we have signed. 
• Continuously improve our environmental performance by annually reviewing, reporting, and setting new environmental goals, inspired by and contributing to Sweden’s environmental objectives and the global sustainability goals in Agenda 2030.
