About the accommodation

Hotell Magasin 1 is a small, intimate hotel in Mörbylånga harbor on wonderful Öland. This former harbor depot offers cozy and comfortable accommodation with its own restaurant and experiences nearby. Here you can explore the sun and the windy island.

Hotell Magasin 1 is our little gem located in Mörbylånga harbor on Öland. The former harbor depot has been renovated and now has fifteen comfortable rooms, a family-atmosphere lounge and a restaurant focusing on local and Swedish ingredients.
 
Mörbylånga is a small but vibrant community by the sea, just south of the Öland Bridge. A perfect starting point for discovering Öland. Here you can start the day with an invigorating breakfast and perhaps a morning swim in Kalmarsund. After an exciting day, you can enjoy the beautiful sunset, go for a walk, enjoy your dinner overlooking the strait, or just relax in a comfortable armchair. Öland offers wonderful experiences at all times of year, and we welcome guests all year round. Our restaurant is open all summer and some weekends in spring and autumn. The rest of the year, the restaurant is open to hotel guests on Tuesday to Saturday evening.
 
We who live here love Öland, and we are fond of saying that you can experience everything here. Perhaps we exaggerate a bit, but if you like nature, museums and art, crafts, relaxation, swimming, good food, and lovely cafes, then we promise that you will find a lot to experience here. Feel free to ask us – talking about our island is just about our favorite thing to do.

    Travel information
    Öland is easily reached from Kalmar on the mainland by the Öland Bridge, currently Sweden's second longest bridge.

    If you travel by public transport, the easiest way to get to Kalmar is by train or bus, and then continuing by bus to Öland and Mörbylånga. The bus station is right next to Magasin 1 and is called Mörbylånga busstation. Plan your trip at kalmarlanstrafik.se/ (choose translate in the bottom menu).

    Right next door from us is Öland's bicycle rental, with a large selection of bicycles for rent. Discovering Öland on wheels is both wonderful and sustainable!

    If you arrive by car, set your GPS to Hotell Magasin 1 in Mörbylånga. We’re located down by the harbor. There is ample municipal parking around the hotel, so finding a suitable parking space is usually not difficult at all. There is free parking along the streets of Mörbylånga. Just be sure to follow the general parking rules. The town square, 100 m from the hotel, offers charging stations for electric cars. You can also rent electric cars in Mörbylånga.
