View details

The 200-year-old mountain village of Kittelfjäll/Tjiehtele is beautifully situated between the mountain Stuore Giebnie/Kittelfjället and the Vajmuojeanoe River (the heart river)/Vojmån.

Nowhere else in Sweden will you find such extensive off-piste skiing directly within the ski system – with around 40 natural runs through ravines, sparse birch forests and rolling ridges. There are also groomed slopes of varying difficulty levels.

At the newly built Kittelfjälls Hostel, you can stay in cosy two- or four-bed rooms with comfortable beds made before your arrival. Showers and toilets are located just outside the rooms in the corridor. A self-catering kitchen is available if you prefer to prepare your own meals. You can also add a tasty breakfast tray from the restaurant just across the street.

Christer Janhans and Iza Sirberg run Kittelfjälls Hostel, as well as the restaurant C&R (Catch and Release), with Pub Giebne as a natural year-round gathering place. Christer and Iza are passionate about mountain fishing and have spent years building a fishing centre in Kittelfjäll, where visitors can rent gear, get tips, or simply talk about the day’s catch. With their deep knowledge of mountain fishing, Kittelfjälls Hostel is the ideal base for exploring the area’s renowned fishing waters.

Sustainable fishing is key to their operation. During the season, Christer and Iza offer both guided tours for experienced fly fishers and fly fishing courses for beginners. Guided tours are available from June 23 to September 15.
