Discover Mörrum and Blekinge through hiking, paddling, cycling and fishing in some of southern Sweden’s most scenic environments.

Fishing

Mörrumsån is one of northern Europe’s most renowned salmon fishing rivers. Mörrums Kronolaxfiske offers 20 km of well-managed waters with reception, shop, guides and equipment rental at Laxens Hus.

The salmon and sea trout season runs from March to October. Fishing permits can be purchased online or on site, and packages including accommodation and a guide are available for a complete experience.

Hiking

The area offers hiking in varied and scenic surroundings. Follow Mörrumsån across suspension bridges and stone bridges, through forests and meadows and along rushing waters. The trails are clearly marked and suitable for both families and experienced hikers. Rest areas and barbecue spots are available along the way.

Laxaleden (approx. 30 km) stretches between Elleholm and Ebbemåla and passes through nature reserves, cultural landscapes and small communities. You can easily adapt the stages and choose shorter loops via the river’s bridges. A digital map is available in the ARK56 app, and a paper map can be collected at Laxens Hus.

Blekingeleden and Pilgrimsvägen Skåne–Blekinge (Eginoleden) also pass through the area, offering everything from shorter day trips to longer hiking adventures.

Paddling & archipelago life

Paddle a kayak or canoe in Mörrumsån and continue out into the archipelago. At the river mouth you will find a sandy beach and swimming area, and for the experienced paddler the adventure continues into the Baltic Sea. A kayak trail is available via ARK56.

Blekinge Arkipelag is a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve with islands, swimming coves and cultural landscapes. Take the archipelago boat to Hanö, Tjärö, Aspö or Tärnö – perfect for a day trip or island hopping.

Cycling

Discover the surroundings of Mörrum by bike – along the river, through beech forests and to nearby towns such as Karlshamn, Sölvesborg and Svängsta.

Sydostleden, a national cycling trail stretching 270 km through Småland, Blekinge and Skåne, passes through Mörrum. A digital map is available in the app ARK56 (opens in new tab). Bicycles are available for rent.
