About the accommodation

At Prinsvillan you stay on historic land, near the sea, forest and castle park. Prince Eugene found his holiday paradise here in 1894. The beautiful nature and rich history by Tyresö Castle makes this an oasis of calm, just a short hop from the hustle and bustle of Stockholm.

Prinsvillan is located in the middle of the beautiful castle park, next to the old church and the magnificent Tyresö Castle. The castle dates back to the 1630s and is now part of the Nordic Museum. The three buildings that make up Prinsvillan have served as official residence, commercial residence and Prince Eugene’s holiday home, among other things. The Prince was inspired by the varied nature and created many of his well-known works of art here.

Peace and many wonderful activities await. Experience nature at sea and in the forest, enjoy culture in the beautiful castle park, relax on the beaches and savor the tranquility. Relax, hang out with friends, go on nature hikes, bike, swim in the sea, go kayaking or visit the castle and the English park. There are several cafes and a restaurant around the castle, within walking distance.

Our nine cozy rooms have beds with lovely linen sheets and all different in character, housed in the former store. An invigorating breakfast basket awaits you in the morning. Perhaps you will enjoy it on the porch and start your day with birdsong.

Prinsvillan is also the perfect setting for the important celebrations in life, including baptisms, weddings, anniversaries and funerals. We are happy to take care of you on your special day.

    Travel information
    Prinsvillan is located in is Kyrkvägen 5 in Tyresö. You can get here easily by taking bus 875 from Gullmarsplan towards Tyresö Church or bus 815 from Gullmarsplan towards Tyresö Castle. Both buses have their terminal stops near Prinsvillan.

    If arriving by car, take Road 229 towards Tyresö for 25 minutes from Stockholm C. Drive past the entrance to Tyresö C and continue in the direction of Old Tyresö. Pass three roundabouts as you drive another 5 km - just continue straight ahead in all three. At the fourth roundabout, turn right towards Tyresö Church and take a left at the first exit. Parking is after the small bridge on the right
