STF Skedbro Mountain cabin

Skedbo cabin is a so called “Abrahamssonstuga” with 20 beds, a safety room and guest kitchen.

At the mountain cabin the mobile coverage is limited. Payment by card is accepted at STF Skedbro. Swish service depending on type of subscription.

The mountain cabin is located high on an isthmus with Skedbro mountains on one side and the lake on the other. There is a smaller beach a few kilometres north.

North of the cabin is the also the country’s only permanent herd of musk ox. The musk oxs are protected as a living nature reserve and it is an unforgettable sight if you manage to see them. The area is characterised partly by boulder-rich, difficult to reach Rogen moraine.

This is how it works in a mountain cabin
Our mountain cabins offer a simple and authentic stay in multi-bedded rooms with self catering. The rooms are different sizes with bunk beds and usually heated by gas stoves. On site you will be greeted by a cabin manager. As a guest you chop wood, fetch water from the stream or lake, wash up and clean up after youself.
