STF Växhuset Hostel Söderhamn

Ecological accommodation by a forest lake in Hälsingland

Travel information

About the accommodation

Växhuset Hostel is a ecological hostel inspired by permaculture. Solar power, composting toilets, solar-heated showers and organic bed linen set the tone. The hostel is surrounded by a lush garden near a small forest lake.

View details

Växhusets Hostel is located in an eco-village in southern Hälsingland by a beautiful forest lake, surrounded by mountains and woodlands. Everything here is built with permaculture principles and ideas of a sustainable society. Nothing is left to chance at Växhuset. The buildings and garden are designed with care and ethics at the core. Energy comes from the sun, and everything is reused and repurposed.

The hostel consists of several buildings. A 12-sided building with six small rooms open in summer, a main building with a reception and guest kitchen, and the Studio — our comfortable 4-bed room open year-round. The entrance leads through the lovely greenhouse, which also serves as a common room and dining area. The Studio is well-equipped with a small kitchenette, a film and garden library, and the option to book a film screening on a large screen.

Welcome to Växhuset – the natural meeting place! We offer green dreams.
