A perfect base for outdoor adventures and peaceful nature experiences.

To rent a motorboat, boat, or canoe, contact:

  • Skekarsbo observation tower – A 20-meter-high tower with views over the Dalälven river. 
  • Sandön – An island in the fjord with beaches, a wind shelter, and fire pits. 
  • STF Gysinge Wärdshus & Hotell – Stay in a beautifully restored historic ironworks setting. The restaurant serves locally sourced, organic food. A perfect place for relaxation, activities, and fantastic flavors. 
  • Naturum Färnebofjärden in Gysinge – The national park’s visitor center with exhibitions and activities. 
  • Mattön main entrance – Located 3 km southeast of Gysinge, this area has several hiking trails. 
  • Tinäs area – In the southwestern part of the park, with ancient forests and wetlands, ideal for longer hikes.
