About the accommodation

Stad-Arvids cabin is located by the Dalälven river in Färnebofjärden National Park. Here, you’ll experience life as it once was—without electricity or running water, with a wood stove and candlelight as your companions. The river offers great opportunities for fishing, paddling, and swimming.

The cabin has six beds and is a charming two-story house. The ground floor features a spacious kitchen, a small hallway, and a sitting room. Upstairs, there is a combined bedroom and living area. In the small adjacent cabin, there are two additional beds.

Stad-Arvids cabin is situated in the Tyttbo area, in the western part of Färnebofjärden National Park—a unique natural area where the lower Dalälven river spreads into a mosaic of lakes, rapids, wetlands, and forests.

Tips for hiking

Upplandsleden trail

The 500 kilometer long Upplandsleden begins at Lake Mälaren, arches up to Gävle, and ends at the archipelago of the Dalälven River.

Gästrikeleden trail

In a 270-kilometer route around Gästrikland, the Gästrikeleden trail winds its way.

Hiking trails in Sweden

The amazing thing about hiking in Sweden is that there is always more to discover. You can hike on remote mountain peaks, along rugged coastlines, beside bright yellow rapeseed fields, or near major cities.
