Trosa

In the town centre, you’ll find boutique shops, cosy cafés, and excellent restaurants, while the harbour is perfect for a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. Nearby attractions include the beautiful Trosa Archipelago and Tullgarn Palace, where you can discover Swedish history and wander through magnificent gardens. Throughout the year, Trosa also hosts a variety of markets and events, making it a vibrant destination for art, crafts, and locally produced goods. 

Hiking

From Trosa, you have easy access to both the Sörmlandsleden and Trosaleden trails, which lead through beautiful scenery and offer memorable hiking experiences. Sörmlandsleden passes through Trosa in two scenic stages. Stage 55 (16 km) takes you from Gisekvarn to Trosa, through forests, across open fields, and along coastal paths with sweeping views of the Baltic Sea. Stage 56 (13 km) continues from Trosa to Tullgarn Palace, winding through woodlands and rolling countryside before ending at the historic palace and its beautiful gardens.

Trosaleden is an enjoyable 8 km circular trail that starts in the centre of Trosa and leads through picturesque countryside, forests, and waterways before returning to the town’s charming centre.

Paddling, cycling and fishing

Located in the heart of Trosa, Tre Små Rum is the perfect base for kayaking, cycling, and fishing. Rent a canoe and paddle along the Trosa River, or explore the beautiful, unspoilt archipelago by kayak. Näckrosleden is a long-distance cycling route that winds through the beautiful landscapes of Södermanland. Passing through Trosa, it offers cyclists the chance to experience forests, lakes, and picturesque small towns along the way.

Sverigeleden is one of Sweden’s best-known long-distance cycling routes, stretching across the country. One section passes through Trosa, making it easy to include the charming town and its surroundings as part of a longer cycling adventure.

Kustlinjen follows Sweden’s east coast, offering spectacular sea views and beautiful coastal scenery. As it passes through Trosa, cyclists can enjoy the stunning archipelago and the town’s charming waterfront setting.
