STF Upperud 9:9

Upperud 9:9 is a modern design hotel located in an old farm environment. Stay in a hundred-year-old grain silo that has been lovingly converted into five unique hotel rooms on two floors. We refer to our rooms as silos. Each silo has four beds and is equipped with all modern comforts. The hotel is located right on the shore of Upperudshöljen, part of the Dalsland canal lake system. We are close to the lake and have a large jetty and lake views in all directions.

Take a morning dip before enjoying our breakfast with freshly baked rolls, home-made jams and locally sourced ingredients. Put our packed lunch in your backpack, and you’re ready for the day’s adventures. Outside the junction, designated paddle lakes, winding bike paths and scenic hikes await you. End your day with a sauna and a refreshing drink at sunset.

Dinner is served daily in summer and on Fridays and Saturdays in spring/autumn. All food is made from scratch in our own kitchen. The ingredients are sourced from the forests, lakes and local farms. We work with hunters, farmers and fishermen and use organic ingredients as much as possible. For beverages, we maintain an organic profile and collaborate with several local microbreweries and cider producers. Our wines are also organic. The café is open daily in summer.

Upperud is located in the heart of the small and wild Dalsland province, which has more lakes than any other in Sweden. The nature is magnificent and truly inspires adventure. Dalsland’s canal, the Håverud aqueduct and the surrounding lakes are great for kayaking. The Pilgrim Route in Dalsland goes through here, and there are a number of great nature reserves in the immediate area. For those interested in culture, Dalsland’s art museum is just a stone’s throw from the hotel. The museum houses contemporary art, a café and its own chicken farm.
