Prices, booking & payment in cabins
There are a few things to keep in mind before your stay in a mountain cabin. That’s why we have gathered everything you need to know about prices, booking, and payment for mountain cabins on this page.
Recommended pre-booking
We recommend that guests book their overnight stay in our mountain cabins in advance. Booking and prepayment should be made for the specific date and cabin and can be done online on our website. The number of bookable beds is limited depending on the cabin type/area and may become fully booked. By booking your overnight stay in advance, you receive a discounted pre-purchase rate and are guaranteed a bed, provided you arrive at the cabin by 6:00 PM. After this time, a bed guarantee applies for an unspecified bed. A booking confirmation must be presented to the cabin host upon arrival, either printed or digitally.
For those unable to book in advance, a place to sleep will always be offered with on-site payment, which may mean a floor bed in the cabin or another indoor space. Unspecified beds are generally assigned after 6:00 PM. Please note that tent sites and day visits cannot be booked in advance; service fees for these are paid directly to the cabin host.
Tent sites and day fees cannot be booked in advance. Payment for service fees and any purchases made in the cabin shops is done on-site.
Prices and payment
The cost of an overnight stay varies depending on the season and between different areas and trail sections. Day visitors and campers are required to pay service fees. Further down on this page, you’ll find prices and more information about payment in mountain cabins and service fees. Access to the kitchen, drying room, and other facilities in the cabin, apart from the bedrooms, is included in the service fee for campers and day guests.
Youth discount
Young people aged 16 but not yet 26 on the day of arrival receive a 30% discount on the regular adult price for overnight stays in mountain cabins. When booking online, enter “STFUNG” in the promo code box to receive the discount. The promo code can only be used if all individuals in the booking are youths; otherwise, the group will need to be split into separate bookings. Valid identification must be presented upon arrival. The 30% youth discount also applies to service fees paid on-site, but not to day fees.
Book multiple accommodations at the same time
If you want to book multiple accommodations in one booking, the easiest way to do it is by opening each accommodation in separate tabs in your web browser. Then, choose the dates for each accommodation, the number of people, and proceed until you see that your accommodation has been added to the cart. All your selections are saved in the same cart, even if you are working in different tabs. When you are ready to pay, proceed to payment in any of the tabs, and all your selections will be included. Your selections are saved for a total of 30 minutes.
Flexible booking conditions
When you book through our website, you will always be given flexible booking conditions, regardless of changes to your own holiday plans or the world around you.
