Helags – Kläppen/Ljungdalen

This is an easy stage. You take a well-used path through a remarkable mountain landscape, with the Helags massif behind you.

The first half of the route passes through dry heathland, and then the terrain gradually passes into mountain birch forest. Close to the Kesusjön lake, west of Ljungdalen, are many sporting lodges, and a fine mountain grazing hut.

The final part of the trek is along a road with traffic. It is 6 kilometres from Kläppen to Ljungdalen, where a hostel is waiting. Taxis are available in the area.
