STF Singi mountain cabin in the summertime.

Prices, booking & payment in cabins

There’s a lot to keep track of before your stay in a mountain cabin. That’s why we’ve gathered everything you need to know about prices, booking and payment on this page.

The price for an overnight stay varies by season, area and trail section. Day visitors and campers pay a service fee. Prices, more information about payment in mountain cabins, and service fees can be found further down on this page. Access to kitchens, drying rooms and other facilities—apart from sleeping quarters—is included in the service fee for campers and day visitors.

We recommend that you book your overnight stay in our mountain cabins in advance. Booking and prepayment must be made for the specific date and cabin, and are completed online here on the website. The number of beds available for advance booking is limited depending on the cabin type/area and may sell out. By booking in advance, you receive a discounted advance rate and are guaranteed a bed, provided you arrive at the cabin no later than 18:00. After that, the bed guarantee applies to an unspecified bed. Your booking confirmation must be shown to the cabin host on arrival, either printed or digitally.

If you are unable to book in advance, you are always guaranteed shelter with payment on arrival, but in an unspecified sleeping place. This may mean a mattress on the floor or another indoor space in the cabin. Unspecified beds are usually allocated after 18:00.

Please note that tent pitches and day visits cannot be booked in advance. Service fees, as well as any purchases in the mountain cabin shops, are paid on site.

Youth rate (ages 16–25)

If you are aged 16 to 25 (Youth 16–25), you are eligible for a discounted youth rate for accommodation in the mountain cabins if you choose not to book in advance. You will then be allocated a place in the cabin after 18:00—usually a bed, but it may also be a mattress on the floor if the cabin is full. If you book your stay online in advance, the standard adult rate applies.

Guests aged 16 to 25 (Youth 16–25) also benefit from a reduced service fee for camping.
