About the area

The Storulvån area is located in the southern Jämtland mountains and is a common starting point for trips towards the Syl massif, Snasahögarna and the Bunnerfjällen mountains. From here, you quickly reach the open mountain landscape and an extensive trail system for both day trips and longer hikes. The trails are clearly marked and pass through varied terrain with both open mountain plateaus and valleys.

In winter, the area is well suited for backcountry skiing and summit tours. In summer, there are many hiking options for all levels. For families with children, there are easily accessible trails nearby, as well as activities such as an obstacle course and open areas for play. In the Storulvån river, which flows below, you can take a refreshing dip.

The Mountain station is a good base for exploring the surrounding area and then returning to comfortable facilities, or as a starting point for multi-day hikes further into the mountains.
