Accommodation details
STF Abisko Turist Station has welcomed guests from all over the world for more than 100 years and become a popular meeting place for those who want to experience stunning nature and magical light phenomena.
Whether you choose to stay in the main building, the Keron hostel or one of our semi-detached cabins, you’ll sleep well in comfortable beds. Keron offers rooms with washbasins, shared showers and toilets in the corridor, and access to a large communal kitchen. The cabins come with private shower/toilet and kitchen. All rooms and cabins have access to bookable sauna and laundry facilities. Many rooms offer fantastic views, and the beautiful natural surroundings are just steps away.
The hotel in the main building
Stay in single or double rooms with views of Lake Torneträsk, Mount Nuolja or Abisko National Park. All rooms have private shower and toilet, and breakfast is included. The main building also houses our reception, Restaurant Kungsleden, a sauna, and the Fjällboden shop which also offers equipment rental.

The Keron hostel
The Keron hostel is located in a separate building about 100 metres from the main building. At Keron, you sleep in bunk beds in our spacious dormitory rooms with either four or six beds. You can rent an entire room or just a bed in a shared dorm. The building includes a large communal kitchen, sauna, and drying room. Pets are allowed in some of the ground floor rooms. Check-in is at the reception in the main building.

The cabins
You can also stay in our spacious, rustic cabin apartments. Each cabin accommodates six people. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, and on the ground floor there’s a living room with sofa, a fully equipped kitchen with dining area, and bathroom with shower and toilet. Pets are allowed in some of the cabins. Check-in is at the reception in the main building.

Tent area
Next to the Tourist Station you’ll find one of three permitted tent areas in Abisko National Park. The tent area includes a service building with toilets and showers as well as a dishwashing room (no kitchen). The service building is closed in winter, and tent guests are referred to the Keron hostel, about 400 metres from the tent area, for showers and toilets.
The tent area has a designated fire pit and wood shed provided by the County Administrative Board. The service fee is paid at the reception in the main building. Read more about service fees on this page. Tent pitches cannot be reserved in advance. Checked-in guests receive a tag to attach to the tent during their stay. Dinner for tent guests should be pre-booked, no earlier than 7 days before arrival, via bokningen@stfturist.se. Please include name, date, number of guests, and any dietary requirements.
