The accommodation’s home page: STF Alunbruket Bed and Breakfast Österlen

Since 1930, guests have gathered at Kaffestugan Alunbruket for coffee and homemade pastries, baked from scratch according to traditions passed down through four generations.

In 1930 Hilda Nilsson began serving coffee with homemade pastries in her home. She was a popular cook for celebrations and started the coffee house after Alunbruket became a popular excursion destination. The traditional cookies are still being served here, with recipes from Hilda’s time. Kaffestugan Alunbruket has been listed for the twelfth year in a row in White Guide’s selection of Sweden’s best cafés.

Everything is baked from scratch using carefully selected sustainable ingredients. Much is grown on site, from apples, quince, plums and raspberries to mint, parsley, ramsons and elderflower. Ingredients are used in season and according to availability, so the menu varies slightly from day to day. When you as a guest enjoy the delicious cakes and Danish pastries, you are helping support our shared cultural heritage. If you are hungry, you can order one of the coffee house’s hearty sandwiches.

It is also possible to pre-order sandwiches to your room or purchase locally produced game sausage or hamburgers to grill yourself whenever you wish.

If you plan to use the self-catering kitchen, it may be useful to know that the nearest grocery store is about 10 km away.
