At Kaffestugan Alunbruket, sustainability, history and local engagement are an important part of the business. The vision is to create a place where guests can find both relaxation and inspiration, while also caring for the environment and the local community.

Alunbruket’s vision

Our goal is to be an oasis in everyday life where our guests find both relaxation and inspiration. On a small scale we want to contribute to a better environment and a better world. We strive to care for our history while also renewing and improving with every season.

We want to be a positive force in the local community. We aim to collaborate with other local actors and build relationships with producers who we believe are doing great things.

Examples of sustainability work:

• As many organic ingredients as possible are served in the coffee house.
• Collaboration with local, small-scale and organic producers.
• Organic waste is composted and returned to the growing beds using the Bokashi method.
• Our own cultivation of vegetables, berries and fruit contributes ingredients to the business.
