Accommodation details

In addition to the prison building, there is an annex, a guest kitchen and plenty of shared spaces. The hotel also has its own museum.

Hotel 1861 also offers accommodation in a separate annex. There, you and your party stay in a private apartment fully equipped with kitchen, shower and toilet.

Free wifi is available throughout the hotel, and parking spaces are available for guests. Parking is free for most of the year; during winter, a fee applies for engine heaters.

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is no later than 11:00.

You also have access to shared spaces where you can relax, read or explore the hotel’s exhibitions about the historic setting.
