About the accommodation

Enjoy a holiday on a farm run on ecological principles. Ecology is the fundamental idea of Ihre Gård, a summer paradise with lambs, horses, arable land, a museum, shop and café. Stroke the animals, go swimming and enjoy saffron pancakes in the café. Accommodation here is in terraces with four-bedded rooms, or in independent cottages.

Ihreviken is one of the most beautiful bays for swimming on Gotland, and is characterised by large cliffs. There is a large sandy beach here, and several generations of eagle have nested in the cliffs! It is possible also to take a riding excursion with guide, play tennis, boule and also pony riding for the children. Every Wednesday there is also a possibilty to eat a buffét with whole grilled lamb(with advanced booking).
 
The hostel is part of a living 18th century farm that is still in use with lamb as its main produce. The farm also has horses, some crops, an industrial museum in which visitors can spin wool, a handcraft shop and a popular café.

Food and equipment for outdoor activities are sold in the shop. The range of goods differs from facility to facility.

    By bus
    Bus 61 from Visby bus station to the stop Ihre which is right next to the hostel.

    By car
    From the harbor in Visby, follow the signs towards road 149. Drive three miles north and you will arrive at the hostel. Road 149 is the coastal road north past the Lummelunda Caves. Ihreviken is located between Stenkyrka and Kappelshamn.
