Helags – Fältjägaren

This trail goes southwards, starting at the slope of the Helagsskaftet. The route starts with a gentle uphill to a reindeer fence at the ridge. Here you find a magnificent panorama across the Härjedalen mountain realm, with the characteristic profile of the famous Predikstolen (Pulpit Rock) to the west.

From the reindeer fence at Helagsskaftet, the path runs downhill for around 1 kilometre, before continuing along an attractive path across a dry mountain heath with gentle rolling hillocks. You walk approximately 1000 metres above sea level for pretty much the whole route.

Several kilometres away from STF Fältjägaren, you can glimpse the station as a silhouette. The mountain station has a beautiful location on a plateau, which is reached by a gently uphill stretch of around 1 kilometre. The trek ends with a slightly steeper uphill, before you reach the station, concealed behind the ridge.

Reindeer herding is practiced in this area, thank you for showing consideration!
